1991년 대구시 중구 봉산동 문화거리에서 개관한 이래 2022년 대봉웨딩문화거리 내 위치한 현재에 이르기까지 지난 32년간 대구를 대표하는 화랑으로 변종하 화백의 귀향 특별초대전을 비롯 회화 조각 사진 영상 등 다양한 장르의 미술과, 젊은 신예작가의 발굴과 후원, 길 트기를 하는 기획초대 전문화랑이며, 이름 위주의 편협된 콜렉션이 아닌 다양한 콜렉터 층을 위해 한국성의 아이덴티티와 세계적 보편성에 함께 다가가는 다양한 동시대 현대미술을 소개하는 화랑으로 화랑미술제(1996~), 한국국제아트페어(2002~), 상하이아트페어(2004~), 싱가포르아트페어(2008~)를 비롯 다양한 미술 품 견본시장에 참가하고 있으며, 현대미술의 세계적 흐름을 살피는 동시에 현재와 미래를 함께 대비 하는 화랑으로, 또한 격조 있고 품위 있는 작품의 건전한 유통거래를 하는 진정으로 미술애호가와 시민들로부터 사랑 받는 화랑이 되고자 하는 화랑입니다.

Since the opening exhibition of 1991, GALLERYSOHEON has been showing Korean contemporary art with paying attention to the various aspect and remarked individuality of contemporary art. Recently GALLERYSOHEON has views on the distinguished and looked promising Asian artists of China and Korea in the international biennale and art fairs, and also makes an effort to introduce Korean contemporary art to USA, Europe, etc. through international exchange exhibitions and international art fair. From now on GALLERYSOHEON try to concentrate on making various network through diverse interchange exhibitions and international art fair.
